We invite scholars, researchers, practitioners, and community members to submit abstracts for the First International Research Conference on the Prospects for Integrated Development of the North and East of Sri Lanka (InReNE) – 2025.

This year’s theme is:
“Integrated Post-war Recovery of the North and East of Sri Lanka and the Role of the Diaspora: Challenges to Education, Employment, and Gender Empowerment, Emerging Youth Issues, Housing, Culture and Livelihoods.”

The conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange around the multifaceted challenges and opportunities facing the North and East in the post-war era. We especially welcome submissions that explore innovative research, lived experiences, and practical approaches from local, national, and diaspora perspectives.

Submission Guidelines:

•⁠ Please submit a 200-word abstract summarizing your proposed paper or presentation.
•⁠ ⁠Abstracts should clearly state the research question, methodology, and key findings or arguments.
